The Gardner Planning Board addressed several local development initiatives at the June 9, 2026 meeting. The Board processed a request to withdraw a site plan modification for 0 Emerald Street, which leaves the original approved construction plans in effect. Consultants highlighted that while Gardner currently meets state affordable housing thresholds, the plan is essential for securing future grants and maintaining diverse residential options. Additionally, the board discussed a proposed residential development on Pearl Street, noting the applicant’s preference for an open space design over a traditional subdivision.
