Martin Luther King Day Celebrated Monday January 15, 2024 in Greater Gardner MA
The Reverend Martin Luther King delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech on August 28, 1963 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. His dream was that all “would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 for combating racial inequality through nonviolent resistance.
