Gardner MA Faith is Evident by Churches Active on Social Media

Since its founding, Gardner has been an actively faith-based community. To this day, prayer opens and closes Gardner City Council meetings. In a world plagued often by bad news, we thought we’d share some good news about Gardner Houses of Worship right here, with easy links to their Facebook pages and websites. Annunciation Parish – is a Catholic Church located at 135 Nichols Street as Holy Rosary Church and at Holy Spirit Chapel at 50 Lovewell Street. The Parish is also associated with Holy Family Academy. We saw a post of thanks to those who came to the weekend bazaar. Facebook Website

Bethany Baptist Church is located at 72 Ryan Street. A post on October 17, 2022 quoted Exodus 20:9-10 “Six day you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.” Pastor Ruben stated, “ The fourth thing that God reminded His people about was rest. Chair City Church is located at 112 Central Street. The Christian Church livestreams its services on YouTube It will soon be opening a breakfast and lunch cafe. Facebook Website

Chestnut Street United Methodist is located at 161 Chestnut Street. There was a very interesting post about praying for others. And a link to an article about how prayers work. Facebook Website

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is located at 634 Pearl Street – There was an interesting post about ancestors, “For you to be born today from 12 previous generations, you needed a total of 4,094 ancestors over the last 400 years.” The post went on to reflect about their life struggles. Faith Lutheran Church is located at 627 Green Street. A post on October 17, 2022 asked, “Why do we pray to God? Do you faithfully pray often?” There are numerous other uplifting posts about faith. Facebook Website

First Baptist Church is located at 14 High Street. A post on October 17, 2022 quoted the Bible, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: But foods despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 KJV” Facebook Website

First Congregational is located at 28 Green Street. This is the church near the uptown rotary often having uplifting messages on its sign. Higher Ground Ministries is a non-denominational church located at 186 Central Street. Posts show an active congregation involved in the community. Facebook Website

Mission of Grace is a church located at 358 Pleasant Street in Gardner. Their Facebook page has this profound statement, “Together, We share a vision: Believers in Jesus Christ who worship God with joy, sincerity and expectation within a nurturing, caring community that mercifully engages a lost and hurting world. We share a mission: We live to love God supremely, love each other authentically and serve the world compassionately. …” Various posts reflect on practical applications of the Holy Bible. St. Paul’s Episcopal is located at 79 Cross Street. A post on Monday October 17, 2022 stated, “Heavenly Father, I woke up. I looked up. I praise you GOD, for a brand new day. I have a roof over my head, My daily bread. Running water. Clothes to wear. I’m no lucky Lord, I’m Blessed!” Their Harvest Festival is Saturday October 22, 2022 from 5pm to 8pm and the public is invited.
