The Finance Committee recommended the following from free cash be approved by the Full City Council.
Traffic Lights
$57,485.00 to Traffic Lights Repairs and maintenance – The Committee heard from Building Commissioner Roland Jean and Inspector of Wires Darroll Sweeney. Also discussed was that the demolition of the Rome building across from the Gardner PD Headquarters may make a left turn from Willow Street safe.
Mayor Nicholson told the Committee that when the Bathhouse is demolished and open-air Pavilion built, citizens will be left with a better view of Crystal Lake.
Pool Pavilion Project
$156,180.000 to the Pool Pavilion Project to fund the portion not covered by grants. The Committee heard from Mayor Michael Nicholson. The remainder of the cost of the Pavilion is covered by grant funding. The demolition of the existing structure, also covered by grant funding, is expected in the Spring/Summer 2023 time frame.
Cloud Services for the City Assessor
$6.000 to the City Assessor Department for cloud services. The committee heard from City Assessor Christine Kumar.
