  EnergySwitchMA.gov allows you to shop for an electric supplier for your home or business. You put in your zip code and a list of suppliers and rates pops out.

  Electric Angst in the Toytown of Winchendon

  For example, the basic service rate in Winchendon MA may be as high as 34 cents. However, at the site there’s a supplier under 17 cents (saving 50%) and several others in the 17 to 20 cent per kilowatt hour range. Click here.

  Electric Frustration in the Chair City of Gardner MA

  In Gardner, basic service has a supply rate of about 34 cents. The City of Gardner negotiated rate is just under 24 cents. However, there’s a supplier for 17 cents and a number well under 20 cents per kilowatt hour. Click here.   Mosquito Control Team Back Again to Greater Gardner MA

  The new number, 988, is easy to remember and is designed to save lives. The number is accessible across the United States and will connect callers with a trained counselor at any time. You can even text the number and get a response.

• Rutland 300th

  

  Rutland MA celebrates 300th Anniversary on Saturday June 18, 2022

  It’s Rutland’s Tricentennial Day, Saturday, June 18th. Events start as early as 8am and go until 4pm. There will be Cannon and musket salutes from behind the Fire Station – Upper Town Common on the new bandstand. Other events include Pancake Breakfast, Fire Truck Parade & Wachusett Firefighter’s Muster, Food & Beer tents on the Lower Common.

• Fashions Through Centuries

  

  Fashions Through Centuries Exhibit at Rutland Historical Society Saturday May 21, 2022 from 1-4pm

  The Rutland Historical Society 300th committee cordially invites you to “Fashions Through the Centuries”, an amazing exhibit of RHS’ many collections of clothing dating back from the 1700’s – 1900’s. RHS is eager to share and present their fashion collections which have been donated over many years. The exhibit will include displays and volunteers modeling the various clothing selections. This is the concluding event of the “Rutland’s History Through the Centuries” series.  The town of Rutland celebrated its 300^th anniversary in 2013. The Rutland Historical Society is located in the Wood House at 232 Main Street, Rutland, MA. RHS on Facebook RHS website.
