Gardner Mayor Brings Teaching and Reading Skills to Children at Gardner MA Library
Mayor Michael Nicholson was at the Levi Heywood Memorial Library. At one time, the Mayor was a substitute teacher in Gardner Public Schools and a Peer Advisor at UMass Department of History.
Mayor Nicholson posted: “Great time last week at the Levi Heywood Memorial Library reading to the children at their Spanish Story Time in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month! From “My Dog Only Speaks Spanish,” to “Dragones y Tacos,” and “El Camioncito Azul,” it was great to see them so engaged in the stories in both English and Spanish, and have their fun craft time at the end!
Thank you to the staff of the Library for asking me to be a guest reader for the event!”
