Gardner Board of Health Meets with 3 members
The Gardner Board of Health met on September 22, 2025. Topics included the adoption of revised private well regulations which will take effect on January 1, 2025. Several minor edits and clarifications were addressed regarding property transfers and rental properties.
The Board also reviewed and approved a Title 5 local upgrade approval application for a failing septic system at 9 Stone Street. Health Director Micah Blondeau provided a comprehensive update to include info on the landfill leachate pump replacement process, safety and efficiency improvements at the transfer station, a discussion of the Swap Shop now open Fridays and Saturdays, and the successful negotiation of a new curbside trash collection contract with E.L. Harvey.
