Seek Cool Environments: Spend time in air-conditioned spaces like libraries, shopping malls, or community centers or a cooling center if you don’t have your own air conditioning. When you buy an air conditioner for at home, get one with a good energy rating so you are more likely to use it when you need it. When outside: Seek shade whenever possible. Consider water-based activities like swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding to be keep cool while staying active. Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day.
