Aldi Store Gets Green Light in Gardner MA – Opening 1st Quarter 2024 or sooner
On August 15, 2023, representatives of Aldi Stores went before the Gardner Planning Board and met all of their conditions for the store to be located at the site of the old Stop and Shop in the Timpany Plaza. A decision in favor of Aldi was rendered on August 21, 2023. The approximately 20,000 square foot space will have about 13,000 square feet as actual retail space. The store plans to be open 7 days a week from 9am to 8pm and employ about 25 people. Some construction needs to be done on the inside in order to open by January 2024 or sooner.
