Gardner Mayor Nicholson spoke of Congresswoman Lori Trahan’s visit to Downtown Gardner this past week to view the continuing progress. “She was very impressed by the work that’s being done. So I want to thank everyone who has helped contribute to all of the success and investment that’s been happening in Gardner.”
Pictured is construction at Orpheum Park where one of 2 Downtown fountains is being installed. (The other will be at Bullnose Park.) Lights are strung throughout the Downtown. In the next week or two, the flower pots will be coming back and sponsorships are still available.
Mayor Nicholson congratulated the MWCC Vet Techs who had their pinning ceremony this past week and the MWCC commencement takes place this coming Wednesday.
Functions at the Gardner Public Schools included the first concerts by the Gardner Elementary School Band with 200 students. The Gardner Music Boosters Theme Basket Extravaganza takes place Saturday May 13th at Gardner High School from 9am to 1pm. An All Gardner Public School Art Show will be taking place at Gardner Elementary School on May 17th from 5pm to 7pm. Gardner High School Spring Concert takes place Thursday May 18th at 7pm
The Mayor mentioned the Chamber of Commerce Community Awards. He welcomed the new Buddhist Community to the City over on Lakewood Terrace.
