Winchendon Election January 19, 2023 involves Fire Station Ballot Vote
A single question – Shall the Town of Winchendon be allowed to exempt from the provisions of Proposition 2 ½, so called the amounts required to pay for the bond issued to pay for design services for a new Fire Station? Vote Result: Approved. Yes-61%, No-39%. Margin at town meeting was a little higher with about 80% voting in favor. The just over 600 grand approved for design services does not include the just under or just over $10 million projected construction cost which will have to be approved by voters before building begins.
