Open Burning Season is January 15 to April 30th in Greater Gardner MA
If you’re in Gardner, go to the MassFire website and apply now for a burning permit. Then call (978) 630-7019 between 8:30am and 1pm to activate the permit each day you plan to burn. Burn from 10am to 4pm only. There are limits on what you can burn, restrictions on how the fire must be supervised, and permission is needed every day as there may be days when the Fire Department says NO due to weather conditions even if you have a permit.
