Ashburnham Police Chief Loring Barrett Jr. to retire effective July 15, 2022
In a letter to Ashburnham residents, Chief of Police Loring Barrett Jr. announced his retirement. The chief has spent 35 years in law enforcement with close to half of that time spent in Ashburnham as its Police Chief since October of 2005. View pdf of resignation letter.
The chief wrote, “As I walk away from the profession that I have so much passion for, I am confident that you have one of the best police and dispatch departments with some of the most committed employees.”
